Extremely friendly staff. Lovely food - ate in the bar but same menu as in the restaurant. Huge comfortable bed. Room slightly noisy as was over the bar but didn't cause a problem.
Parking was on-street which was not made clear in the information. Alnmouth is a very difficult place to park unless the rain has stopped people coming from wherever they are staying.

The hotel was conveniently placed for visiting the Northumberland area, which suited our needs Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and the food plentiful and of good quality.
The only criticism I have is that our bedroom sound proofing was not very good. Windows fitted poorly and traffic sound first thing in the morning, albeit not continuous, was somewhat irritating.

The Hope & Anchor is a very popular pub with a good atmosphere and serving excellent food. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Parking was 'challenging', but as Alnmouth is only a small town, it was not too far to walk on the odd night when I could not park outside.

Staff very friendly and made me (a single traveller) feel comfortable and the location is second to none! Room and en suite was very clean and bright with good facilities (Biscuits, tea, toiletries)
Did not like the location of the room. It was over the kitchen which was noisy, and had a constant smell of chips. It was also a warm day and the window opening was very small making the room very hot. I did enquire about a fan but there was none.would visit again but hopefully not in that room

staff friendly and welcoming, location great for the beach and surrounding sightseeing, excellent breakfast. room comfortable.
it wasn't a problem for us when we stayed but the walls are very thin and the floors very creaky so light sleepers may be disturbed.

Location was ideal and close to lots of attractions. The food was excellent, very fresh and obviously home cooked.
A mirror needs to be hung up in the room close to a socket for hair drying. I thought that none was available but it was. I only found it on the last morning in the wardrobe. Otherwise all very good.

Good food and on site restaurant where there is little choice locally, especially as we travelled by public transport.
No private lounge for exclusive use by residents.

The room was clean and well attended to. Breakfast was excellent and very substantial, evening meals were also very good.
I stayed in the bedroom named "tern" which was advertised as being a double room which I had on single occupancy. The room was really too small to be called a double being more like a single room which was just big enough to accommodate a double bed. There was no cupboard space, only a rack with a few hangers for clothes. This was all right for one person, but I would not have been happy had I been there as part of a couple, and had to pay double room rates for a room this size.

It was basically a pub, but with rooms upstairs. Very old (as in 16th century kind of old)
Rooms were a little noisy, but then we did have the window open because the weather was so hot

Useful place to stay for the wedding we were attending in Alnmouth
The room was small. The shower did not work. The bed was very small and uncomfotable
